Fred Weasley is the twin brother of George Weasley, a hilarious set out of the ever-adorable, ever-threadbare, and ever-sweet Weasley family. Their connection to the canon is through their friendship with Harry Potter, the bescarred BOY WONDER of Dark Lord-slayin' legened and whatnot. Harry was a baby, Voldemort (a DARK LORD) killed his parents but couldn't kill the baby because of LOVE and then eleven years later Harry went to Magic School with Ron Weasley where there were lots of hyjinks and danger and prophesies. I think most people know the skeleton of the HP story, so! Onward and upward. Fred, like George, treats Harry as a sort of younger brother, though they're a little nicer to him, I think.

Like it's been said, Fred and George (Gred and Forge?) are identical twins, and a lot a like. They're rambunctious bundles of MAYHEM waiting to happen, and act almost like a two-man comedy routine, playing off of each other and teaming up. They play Quidditch (a wizarding sport played on broomstick), and are even inseperable in the game as Beaters (if you don't know, don't ask, but it involves clubs and HITTING THINGS). In fact, they're totally inseperable--you can't have a George without a Fred, or a Fred without a George. They're an Unbeatable Team, thick as thieves!

Fred too loves jokes. Pulling teh pranks, wrecking teh havoc, and being teh mischevious. They get up to lots of tricks and fun, but it's all innocent (for the most part haha), never really out to hurt anyone. They don't do the school thing, and they don't do the regular job thing either; they spent a lot of time inventing their fireworks, trick wands, Puking Pastilles, Love Potions; everything and anything that you could want for general mischief making. After making a swamp in the entrance hall of the school, the twins fled the premises and started a joke shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, that was quickly immensley popular.

Fred, like his twin brother, can be extremely hot-headed. They're very defensive of their friends and relatives. Their family is often referred to as "blood traitors" because of their affiliation with Muggles (non-wizarding humans) and Muggle-born witches and wizards; obviously this is a very touchy subject. The twins have, on more than one occasion, jumped to the defense of Muggle-born friends (Hermione) when insulted.

Fred is equally happy-go-lucky and sly. We get more of a firsthand look at how Fred deals with girls--he's very casual and doesn't seem bothered by them; when he wants to ask a friend of his to go to a certain Yule Ball, he just shouts to her and she agrees. He's also a total charmer, but equally intelligent and secretly dangerous (I think) as his twin brother, just as soon-to-be-George-mun mentioned.

Just like George, again, comes Fred's reckless courage. The two of them were completely willing to join the cause against Voldemort (the Ugly Baby ftw) the moment that they heard about it. Naïvety is not a word you often associate with the twins but I think it's very accurate to say that, though they think themselves prepared to deal with what's in front of them, they have no idea. They're just kids in the end. But, like George, he's willing to fight for what's right (yea!) and protect what he really does love.


Fred and George were traveling through the Floo network, and Fred came out the other end, but...George did not? Worried, Fred doubled back to look for his twin, and ended up on the Island.
